Gazprom Space Systems Joint Stock Company - a subsidiary Gazprom PJSC carries out space activities in the field of creation and operation of telecommunication and geoinformation systems in the interests of Gazprom Group companies and other consumers.

Gazprom Space Systems JSC, along with FSUE Kosmicheskaya Svyaz, is a Russian national satellite operator and is part of a group of ~50 satellite operators existing in the world.

Gazprom Space Systems JSC has created, operates and develops the Yamal satellite communications system, is developing a technologically new for Russia aerospace monitoring system "Smotr", and has established an assembly plant for spacecraft.

Telecommunications services to Gazprom Group companies and other customers are provided on the basis of the Yamal satellite communications system, consisting of five spacecraft in geostationary orbit and ground infrastructure. The satellites serve the entire territory of Russia, including the Arctic region and the Northern Sea Route, as well as a significant part of the globe.

Geoinformation services to Gazprom Group companies and other customers are provided on the basis of the aerospace monitoring center, which includes a complex for receiving and pre- processing space data, a complex for unmanned monitoring and geodetic support, a complex for forming a digital cartographic basis based on a supercomputer, and thematic processing complexes.
